This week EUSAS welcomes Anaïs Chanon and Alex Pirks from GRAFT.
GRAFT is made up of four landscape architects based in Scotland and France. GRAFT projects are used as creative and critical platforms to interrogate contemporary landscape architecture practice through the exchange of ideas, debate and experimentation.
GRAFT's work combines elements of art, ecology, architecture and other related fields into holistic and multi-layered landscape interventions and research projects.
The lecture will be articulated around one of GRAFT’s ongoing projects located in Possilpark, a highly deprived area of Glasgow. Through this project, the lecture will discuss the latent socio-ecological potential of vacant and derelict sites and how they can help us critically reflect on challenges we are inheriting from post-industrial cities.
